The council of Somerset provide a web page that has a link labelled Rights of Way GIS Files. If you click on this link, you will get a new web page on which the text Rights of Way GIS files.zip is displayed. To the extreme left of this text, there is a button displaying a downarrow symbol. If you click on this button, a file with the name Rights of Way GIS files.zip will be downloaded. This zip file has an ESRI shapefile that has the details about the public rights of way of Somerset. The data that rowmaps has for Somerset is the data that is dated 27th September 2024.

The Council also provides information about its public rights of way on its online map. It may be that their map uses more up-to-date information.

the precise line of a right of way can only be determined by reference to the Definitive Map (1:10560 scale). Somerset Council can accept no responsibility for any error or inaccuracy which may arise from the transposition of the Definitive Map to a different scale.
